Forest Conservation Drone
product design project - 2023
After researching the forest environment, interviewing forest workers, and identifying opportunities for intervention, I chose to focus on the work of the forester who’s responsible for collecting data and taking care of the forest.
Today, the data collection is based on skills, experience, and manual tools only.
I defined three main problems the forester faces: inefficiency, inaccessibility to some areas, and inaccurate information which harms the information quality.

The product
An autonomous drone that collects efficient and accurate data from the forest.
Equipped with 360-degree camera, lidar sensor, propellors protections, and easily removable battery.
The system includes a drone and an app that allows remote control and makes the data accessible to the forester.
